The Knoxville City Council approved a revised Veterans District land 28E agreement at their meeting on Monday.

With this agreement, the city now will receive more land in the Veterans District, which includes the laundry building, Lincoln Street commercial site, school, and Youngs Park addition. Also at the meeting relating to the VA District, the council approved the preliminary plat four, and held a public hearing and approved rezoning of the Veterans District Phase Two.

Additionally, the council heard mayoral readings of National Fire Prevention Week and Community Planning Month proclamations, held a public hearing and approved expansion of the Knoxville Urban Renewal Area, adopted the 2025 pavement management report, and approved the conditional zoning agreement for the property at 202 E Washington Street.
