The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday. The board approved the requests to hire for a position in the engineer’s office and the hiring of an additional employee in the treasurer’s office due to an extended employee leave.
The board also approved a contract for the bridge replacement on County Highway R57 over the North River, just south of Norwalk, an extension regarding the land swap between Indianola and Warren County, and an application to use the Warren County Justice Center grounds for Wine, Witches and Brews on Friday, October 24th.
To conclude the session, the board continued an ongoing project to update county ordinances, with this meeting updating:
- Prohibition against the acceptance of gifts by county officials, county employees, and their dependent family members
- Procedure for utility installation permits
- Unauthorized use of secondary road right-of-way
- Driveway entrances
