A Mingo man has been sentenced to five years in prison and fined $1,025 for his latest Sex Offender Registry Violation. Forty-two-year-old Christopher Daniel Dee entered a negotiated guilty plea to second or subsequent offense sex offender registry violation, a class D Felony, and was sentenced by District Court Judge Nicholas Bailey.

Court documents say Dee was fired from his job in May, and failed to update his employment status on the sex offender registry. He was arrested by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department later that month. The criminal complaint against him states he has multiple sex offender registry violations, with the last one prior to this offense in October 2020. Dee is on the registry for a 2006 indecent exposure conviction in Poweshiek County.
