The Christmas season is approaching and with it returns the Pella Opera House’s Festival of Trees.

The Festival of Trees will run from November 22nd through December 6th, and the Pella Opera House will be open from 10am-4pm Monday through Saturday during the event. The Opera House will also have extended hours from 10am-8pm on November 24th, December 4th and 5th, and from 10am-6pm on December 6th. Executive Director Cyndi Atkins says that the children’s scavenger hunt and the boutique will also be returning to this year’s event.

“It seems like nowadays, the first person coming in through the door is a younger child who is saying, do you have a scavenger hunt this year. They can’t wait to do the scavenger hunt through the Festival of Trees. It’s for youth, so bring your family and bring your kids, it’s a fun activity for them and going in to visit the Festival of Trees is all free. So, you can come on it and we usually have around 2,000 people that will come into the Pella Opera House during the Festival of Trees to see the trees and the reefs, and also to shop at our Festival of Trees Boutique which we’ll be back again this year.”
