The Transportation Supervisor in the Newton School District says she needs more buses. According to Supervisor Monica Pritchard, she has to pull a bus from another assignment when one goes down.

“We are running lower on extra buses, spare buses. So if a bus gets in an accident or needs repair, we have to have extra buses to replenish those. I assume we will need to put some of our activity buses into the rotation. It’s time to get some bus rotation.”

Pritchard says she’s currently working on ordering two new buses, which will take a while to get. Currently, she says the district has seventeen route buses, nine activity buses, and five routes that are covered by suburbans.
