
A busy week of postseason action on Eagle Lane kicks off tonight, as the Pella Christian volleyball team hosts South Tama in the first round of the Class 3A Region 3 tournament.
The Eagles finished the regular season with a 2-2 showing at the Knoxville Invitational on Saturday, pushing their overall record to 13-16 on the year. The Trojans enter tonight’s contest with a 19-17 overall record, after they closed out the regular season with a 1-1 night at the WaMaC Conference Tournament last Thursday. South Tama features a well-balanced team, with four different girls leading in the five primary stat categories. Junior Paisley Bro is the Trojans’ leader in kills (207) and aces (92), sophomore Maylee Rucker has the team-high in assists (563), sophomore Brylee Nelson leads the squad in digs (133), and sophomore Keinzle Boriskey paces the team in blocks (63).
