The Indianola Community Youth Foundation held its annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday evening in the Indianola Stadium parking lot. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was present at the event, playing music and handing out candy. The border of the parking lot was lined with trunk hosts, and there were multiple vendors present with food trucks and trailers. ICYF Executive Director, Taylor Litchkey, tells KNIA News, this was the event’s largest turnout in its five-year history.

“We are very happy that it did not rain. It was a little chilly, but overall we had great attendance. I would say this was probably our biggest one, with over 800 people. We had people running out of candy and stuff, had to fill them back up to keep going.”

The ICYF would like to thank all of the event’s trunk hosts and food vendors for all of their work, as well as the Indianola Community School District for allowing use of their facilities. Free will donations were also taken for The Helping Hand of Warren County. For more information regarding upcoming events, visit icyf.org
