An open house and ribbon cutting was held Wednesday for Leighton State Bank’s new branch building in Knoxville.

A strong showing of community members showed up to the event to see the new building located off Highway 14 which replaces the temporary location on the Knoxville Square. The open house included the ribbon cutting with the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, tours, refreshments, and hourly door prizes. Jim Baker with Leighton State Bank says he is excited for the future of Leighton State Bank in the Knoxville community.

“It has been a great journey and a great experience to be part of the Knoxville community from a business aspect and Leighton State Bank has given me and my team the opportunity to lead that and it’s been a great experience and we’re really excited for all that Leighton State Bank will be able to do for Knoxville in the future.”

The new branch building has several unique features including a wall that displays many historical Knoxville photos.
