The PCM football team will host West Liberty tonight in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs. 

The Mustangs are the #1 seed and finished the regular season with a 7-1 overall record after defeating Centerville last Friday to secure a district title. The Comets are 3-5 overall as the #4 seed and fell to Wilton in their last regular season game of the year. PCM’s offense has been led this season by senior quarterback Chase Wagaman who has thrown for 1,258 yards and 17 touchdowns this season and has rushed for 183 yards and five touchdowns. Sophomore running back Lewis Daye has rushed for 878 yards and nine touchdowns while Gavin Steenhoek has 657 receiving yards and ten touchdown receptions.

The pass heavy Comets offense has been led by sophomore quarterback Devin Mericle who has thrown for 1,572 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Tonight’s playoff game in Monroe starts at 7:00 pm.
