The Indianola boys cross country team took home a class 4A state title on Saturday, edging out Cedar Falls 102-104, and earning the program’s first state title since 1972. Senior Reed Robbins finished in 12th at the meet, earning all-state honors, and said after the race this team has been building for years to get to this point, and it truly took everyone in the community buying in to make it happen.

“To be up here with these seven guys in that race, alternates, coaches, family, and so many friends that came up, it’s so incredibly special to be able to put all of this together. This is our time, we’ve been together for so long. We are going to reap the fruits of this day for a long time.”
