The NCMP Aquagirls placed 13th Friday at the 2025 Girls State Swim Meet at the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City. 

Senior Harper Barton contributed to top ten finishes in four events. She was 5th in the 100-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 52.89, and 9th in the 50-yard freestyle at 24.2. Barton also teamed up with her younger sister Harper Barton, along with Reid McCloud and Tori White to place 9th in the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relays, with times of 1:40.39 and 3:40.87. 

McCloud finished 15th in the 500-yard freestyle (5:16,87), while Julia Nedder, Emalee Weuve, Kimberlee Miller, and Alexa Van Maanen placed 32nd in the 200-yard Medley Relay (2:01.8). 

The preliminaries for the Girls State Swim Meet were held at the University of Iowa Campus Recreation and Wellness Center on Thursday.
