It is obvious to anyone that the Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball squads will look a lot different this season. Gone is all-time Saint great Addi Wadle as she graduated along with her all-time leading scoring and 20.5 per game. However, Coach Kelsey Goff’s cupboard is not bare. Senior Maddi DeJong along with juniors Ashlyn Metz, Danni Enfield Kesley Reed and Lotty Nolte along with several sophomores who figure into the line up more this season will see more playing time. Goff tells KNIA Sports everyone returning will have to do a little more than in recent seasons.

Goff: “But now is their time to shine and this year their junior year and them to be my gotos for this season.”

DeJong had 45 steals last season while Enfield grabbed 80 rebounds, Reed is a returning all-Bluegrass Conference player who led the team with 227 rebounds, and Nolte played in 22 of the 23 games. Melcher-Dallas will play in a scrimmage against East Union on Friday and begins the season officially on November 25th at Wayne.
