Indianola Main Street is putting out a call for volunteers ahead of this Saturday’s Home for the Holidays celebration. Organizers say the downtown event has continued to grow, and with that growth comes a bigger need for helping hands especially in the hours leading up to the annual lighted parade. They’re looking for people to help manage activities, guide visitors, assist with set-ups, and support parade logistics. And they say the need is immediate, with several spots still unfilled for the weekend. Indianola Main Street Executive Director Erica Roberts tells KNIA News help is wanted.
“We are actively still looking for many volunteers, particularly for things like the lighted parade and different things like that we are very much needing help with, and also if you have not signed up for the lighted parade and would like to do so, that link and information is on our page as well.”
The lighted parade steps off at 7:30 p.m. They’re also still accepting parade entries, and all sign-up links are available on the Indianola Main Street Facebook page. Anyone from the community or beyond is invited to come down, bundle up, and take in the expanded festivities Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m.
