Marion County Bank is hosting their first-ever Discounted Chamber Bucks event in Knoxville tonight.
The initiative is designed to support local Knoxville businesses and encourage community members to make the most of their holiday shopping by taking advantage of the discount. With $25,000 in Chamber Bucks available at a 10% discount, individuals can purchase up to $500 and pay only $450.
The Knoxville Chamber recently relaunched Chamber Bucks at the beginning of November. Marion County Bank Marketing Officer Ryan Vos says this promotion is a great way to kick off the holiday shopping season and encourages community members to shop local.
“Living Windows is a perfect kickoff to all the nostalgia of the holiday season. It’s when we think about shopping at our local shops and going out and spending those dollars. We’re thinking about those gifts and what we want to buy for friends and family. Just wrapping that up all together, it’s a perfect way to put some money in the local economy right when people are ready to spend it.”
Discounted Chamber Bucks will only be sold at Marion County Bank in Knoxville beginning at 5pm. The sale will continue until the full $25,000 is sold or the conclusion of Knoxville’s Living Windows, whatever comes first. Discounted Chamber Bucks will be sold in $20 denominations, available to individuals only, and expire one year from the date of purchase. Payment must be made by cash or check.
