The Norwalk girls wrestling team will compete at the North Metro Girls Wrestling Invitational at Urbandale High School today. The 19-team tournament features numerous schools that Norwalk will see again this season, including Ames, Dallas Center-Grimes, Des Moines Public Schools Girls Wrestling, Indianola, Interstate 35, Johnston, Pella, and Valley.

The Norwalk girls wrestlers finished with a 2-2 record in Tuesday’s Des Moines Public Schools Dual Tournament at Hoover High School. The Warriors recorded decisive wins of 66-18 over DMPS and 60-24 against Central Decatur, both also competing in Urbandale today. They were defeated by Southeast Polk 48-24 and lost to Audubon 48-36. Warrior wrestlers combined for 16 total pins on Tuesday.
