The Pella Community Foundation Board of Directors approved 34 grants totaling $200,000 for their 2025-26 cycle at a luncheon on Friday.
New President of the Foundation Mark Wiskus says this year, their board is sharing those funds with 32 different local non-profit organizations.
“We were able to fund projects which touch a broad cross-section of people within our community. Five Impact grants totaling $86,000 were awarded to Community Betterment Organization, Pella Regional Health Center, Heart of Transit (HIRTA), Restoring Eden Regenerative Teaching Farm, and Friends of the Pella Public Library. These grants are intended to play a key role in providing significant funding for their projects which strengthen Pella by addressing major initiatives and promising opportunities. In addition, 29 other non-profit organizations received board-directed grants totaling $114,000.”
