The holiday season is in full swing in the Pella community, and the famed version of St. Nicholas from the Netherlands is about to make his annual visit to the Tulip City.

Pella Historical Museums is hosting the annual Sinterklaas celebration on Saturday, December 6th, beginning with a parade at 10 a.m. down Franklin Street.

A brief program will follow on the Tulip Toren with the 2026 Tulip Queen Kenzie Kanis, Burgemeister Randy Sikkema, and Pella Mayor Don DeWaard.

Queen Kenzie will be joined by her royal court of Lexi Terpstra, Abbie Brand, Addie Van Arendonk, and Riley Braafhart for the parade and for a photo opportunity and gifts with Sinterklaas following the parade at Scholte Church.
