County and City employees throughout Jasper County will have the Thanksgiving holiday off. 

All Jasper County Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, and so will all Newton CIty Offices. The Newton Public Library will be closed Thursday through Saturday. Garbage and recycling collection in Newton will also be pushed back one day for the rest of the week.

City Offices in the other communities across Jasper County will be closed for Thanksgiving. City Halls in Monroe and Prairie City will also be closed on Friday.
