The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District soccer teams were announced Tuesday and the Central women’s soccer team had six athletes recognized.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must play in 90% of a team’s contests at the varsity level or start in 66% of the games while achieving a 3.50 or better cumulative grade point average (4.00 scale). Each institution can nominate a limited number of players per gender.

The players selected were Kylie Bloomstrom, Addison Brown, Katy Brown, Piper Eighmy, Bailey Huizenga, and MiMi Pavelka. A biology and business management double major with a 4.00 GPA, Eighmy led the Dutch with eight goals and was an American Rivers All-Conference pick. Huizenga has a 3.99 GPA and was an all-conference honorable mention, as was Bloomstrom with her 3.96 GPA as a kinesiology major. Katy Brown is a business management and communication studies double major maintaining a 3.88 GPA. Addison Brown is a biology major with a 3.92 GPA. The sisters started all 18 games in the back line for Central. Pavelka, a kinesiology major with a 3.90 GPA, started all 18 games in the midfield.

Eighmy and Huizenga advanced to consideration for the Academic All-America squad, which will be announced on Wednesday, December 17th.
