Chad Rowson has taken over as the new boys wrestling coach at Pleasantville.
Rowson comes in with significant wrestling coaching experience as he has spent years coaching middle school wrestling for Pleasantville and has also been an assistant coach for the girls and boys varsity programs. Rowson will inherit a smaller roster than the Trojans have in years past but will bring back state qualifier sophomore Cale Sorenson and senior Blake Rowson who recorded his 100th win last season. Chad tells KNIA/KRLS that he is excited to take over the program.
“Pleassantville has a great tradition of wrestling, always has. We’re looking to continue that tradition. Taking over as head coach, been assistant coach for the last four years so just making it a formality and I’m hitting the ground running.”
Pleasantville will open their season at home next Thursday at home for a quad
