The Knoxville Girls basketball Squad will host Van Meter tonight. The Panthers suffered a season opening loss to Fairfield last Tuesday and look to make improvements to be more competitive and have a chance at victory. The Panthers were heavily outrebounded last week and that is one thing that Coach Tracy Wilkins says needs to get better

Wilkins: “Our focus right now is fundamentals and we don’t have an option. Being outrebounded really caught us and we have to get more people in position and we only have a couple of players that are really doing that, so we have to get better there.”

The Panthers were limited to just 16 points last week on just 26% shooting from the field. Tonight’s game can be heard live on 95.3 KNIA. The pregame is at 5:45 with the tipoff at 6:00. This will be a varsity only contest due to Van Meter only having 12 total players.
