Pella Regional has announced that Rod Visser is Hospice of Pella’s 2025 Volunteer of the Year. Rod, along with other honored volunteers throughout Iowa, are recognized with great appreciation by the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Iowa and their local community.

Volunteers of Hospice of Pella provide companionship for patients and relief for caregivers by letting them take a break from the bedside. They help with transportation needs, including errands and rides to and from appointments. Volunteers also may help in the office and take care of the garden. Hospice of Pella is grateful for all of the volunteers that serve in many capacities throughout the year.
