The Pleasantville girls basketball team defeated Ankeny Christian on the road Tuesday night as the boys team came up short and the girls wrestling team went 1-2 at a quad hosted by Pella. 

The Pleasantville girls basketball team improved to 2-0 by picking up a 57-42 win over the Eagles. The Trojans were led in scoring by Kylie Jolly who had 14 points. The Trojan boys dropped their first game of the season to the Eagles 56-43. Ankeny Christian jumped out to a 28-12 lead in the first quarter after hitting five three pointers and were able to keep their distance the rest of the contest. Braylon Bingham led the Trojan boys in scoring with 14 points.

The Trojan basketball teams will next compete on Friday at Earlham

The Trojan girls wrestling team went 1-2 at a quad hosted by Pella. Pleasantville defeated Perry 36-30 but fell to Pella 39-24 and Carlisle 66-9. Hayden Edward went 3-0 on the night for Pleasantville. Complete results can be found here.
