Next Friday’s home basketball games for the Newton Cardinals will also feature a joint fundraiser for the United Way of Jasper County and the Newton High School Pacesetters. They will be hosting a Build a Red Pride Buddy Bear Workshop in the high school gymnasium. Each Build a Bear Kit is $30 and includes a bear shelf, a Newton Cardinals Hoodie for the bear, and a birth certificate. The kits will be available before the girls and boys games, and at halftime. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be split between the NHS Pacesetters and the United Way of Jasper County.
