The Norwalk girls wrestling team came in second place in their home invitational on Tuesday, scoring 148 total points and fell to first-place Pella by 46 points. The Warriors received first-place performances from Hannah Schmitz, Merci Scholten, and Mya Wojtowicz.

100- Hannah Schmitz, 1st place, 1-0, 1 technical fall

110- Merci Scholten, 1st place, 2-0, 2 falls

115- Cennedy Allen, 3rd place, 2-1, 1 fall, 1 technical fall

115- Margaret Evans, 4th place, 1-2, 1 fall

120- Mya Wojtowicz, 1st place, 1-0, 1 fall

130- Kaylie Popiano, 4th place, 1-2, 1 fall

135- Madelyn Carroll, 3rd place, 2-1, 2 falls

140- Mimi Dautovic, 2nd place, 2-1, 1 fall, 1 decision

145- Skylynn Finnegan, 3rd place, 2-1, 1 fall, 1 decision

155- Aa’Siyah Foreman, 6th place, 0-2

170- Malaika Scholten, 2nd place, 2-1, 2 falls

The Norwalk girls return to action on Saturday, as they compete in the 23-team West Des Moines Valley Tournament. Competition will begin at 10 a.m. at Valley High School.
