
The PCM boys and girls basketball teams defeated Greene County on the road Friday night in Heart of Iowa Conference matchups.
The Mustang girls defeated the Rams in dominating fashion going into halftime with a 40-14 lead and then closing out the game with a 65-21 win. The PCM girls were led in scoring by Katelynn Fagg who had 16 points as she sunk four three points in the second half. Tori Lindsay finished with 15 points while Kyra Naeve had 11. Nine total girls entered the scoring column for the Mustang girls. The PCM girls improve to 6-1 on the season.
The PCM boys edged out the Rams in a hard fought contest which came down to the wire. The Mustang boys led 30-21 at half but Greene County edged closer as the score was 42-35 at the end of the third period. PCM was able to keep just enough distance in the fourth to end the game with a 63-60 win. Chase Wagaman was the leading scorer with 15 points as Kevin Thomas had 12 and Abe Kiernan had 11. The PCM boys improve to 4-2 overall.
The PCM boys and girls basketball teams will be back in action on Tuesday against Grand View Christian.
