Several food drives are underway to help those in need in the Newton area. Capstone, Open Arms, and the Iowa Speedway are partnering together to collect food donations to make food boxes. Monetary donations can be made through the link here: Food Donation Form. A $25 donation can help feed a family of four. Donations of nonperishable food items can be dropped off at Capstone’s front desk at 1123 1st Avenue East.

Newton’s Quick Visit Urgent Care is also collecting food donations now through Friday, December 19th to support local families in need. Items left in the Quick Visit lobby at 1817 First Avenue East will be donated to the Newton Community School District Food Pantry.
