A 100+ Men Red Rock check presentation was held in Knoxville on Monday.

A $10,000 check was given by the group to one of the organization’s fourth quarter recipients, Counting Sheep. Counting Sheep’s goal is to build and provide basic functional beds with bedding, for children in the area that are currently sleeping on the floor or without a suitable bed as they believe every child deserves a bed. Volunteers with Counting Sheep build the beds and deliver them to the children. The presentation was held at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Larry Lamb with Counting Sheep says the group wants to make it a priority that no kid in our local communities are sleeping on the floor.

“What we actually do is we locate children between 3-17 that currently don’t have a suitable bed or are sleeping on the floor and we build a basic and functional bed and provide a mattress, mattress bed, sheets, and a quilt or some sort of comforter to go on top of that bed.”

100 + Men is a group of men committed to giving back to the Lake Red Rock area by financially supporting the charitable organizations that serve the Red Rock region. They hold quarterly meetings to support local causes using a simple model:

100+ participating men x $100 contribution = $10,000+ to local charities in the Red Rock region.

2025 marks the group’s 10th year of supporting the Red Rock area. Since their founding in 2015, they have given over $378,000 back to Red Rock organizations. An additional check for this quarter will be given on Thursday.
