Lawn care at Newton City hall during the summer will continue to be handled by a business in Knoxville. For the past three summers, Newton City Administrator Matt Muckler says Gilbert Lawn and Snow Removal LLC has done an excellent job of maintaining the grounds at City Hall.  A new contract for the summers of 2026 and 2027 has just been approved. Under the agreement, Gilbert Lawn and Snow Removal will get paid a total of $7,408 per year.
