Four PCM athletic teams were in action on Tuesday.

The Mustang girls and boys basketball teams hosted Grand View Christian in a Heart of Iowa Conference doubleheader. The PCM girls picked up a 68-56 win. The Mustang girls were led in scoring by sophomore Libby Winters who had 23 points and senior Tori Lindsay who had 20. The PCM girls improve to 7-1 on the season.

The Mustang boys also won their contest 65-52. PCM led all game and eight different players contributed to the scoring. Senior Chase Wagaman led the Mustangs in scoring with 15 points while Shay Burns and Kevin Thomas both had 12. The PCM boys improve to 5-2 overall. 

The boys and girls basketball teams will be back in action on Friday at Nevada.

The PCM girls wrestling team competed at a quad hosted by Nevada. The Mustang girls went 1-2 on the night defeating Columbus Catholic 48-12 and fell to Ottumwa 72-6 and Nevada 51-18. PCM’s Hadley Millang went 2-1 on the night. 

The PCM boys wrestling team competed at a quad hosted by Lynnville-Sully. The Mustangs went 1-2 with both of their losses coming by a combined three points. PCM beat Lynnville-Sully 48-19 and fell to Albia 38-36 and Iowa Valley 42-41. Tucker Wheeler and Brenden Lahart went 3-0 on the night. 

The PCM boys and girls wrestling teams will be back in action on Thursday for home triangulars.
