Knoxville and Pleasantville High School jazz bands have earned first place honors at the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association district contest jazz festival held in Waukee on Tuesday.

Knoxville earned first place in the 3A division out of 11 total schools while Pleasantville earned first place in 2A out of six total schools. First and second place bands in each class receive an automatic invitation to perform in the Iowa Jazz Championships on April 7th.
