The Caldwell Ice Rink opened for the season on Tuesday, this year, with a new chiller system.

The Spirit of Pella non-profit organization led a fundraiser to support the technology that allows for ice skating on the vast majority of winter days.

Youth ice skates are available to rent at the Pella Community Center Office, which reopens on Friday, December 26, from 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Weekend rentals are also available.
