Indianola Municipal Utilities commissioned their Solar Facility Project last week, opening their new solar facility with a 4.1-megawatt capacity, empowered by First Solar Series 6 photovoltaic panels, and will generate up to 6.5 million kilowatt hours of IMU customers’ electricity annually. IMU General Manager Chris Desplanques tells KNIA News the board honored two longtime board members who helped bring the project to Indianola, naming them after Dee White and Mike Rozga, who both served over a decade on the IMU Board of Trustees.
