The Indianola girls basketball team paused their schedule for the holiday break, and after falling to #3 Norwalk to end the 2025 portion of their schedule, the slate does not get easier once 2026 begins. The Indians will start with Warren County rival Carlisle on January 5th, currently 8-0 featuring Iowa State commit Macy Comito and ranked #5 in class 4A, followed by #1 undefeated Dallas Center-Grimes, then a rescheduled matchup with Ames, and ending a tough stretch with #14 Pella. The Indians are 5-2 on the season, scoring over 40 points in all but one of their games so far, a feat they only accomplished nine times last season.
