Norwalk Community Schools recently concluded its final school board meeting of the 2025 calendar year, marking the halfway point of the school year and a busy fall semester across the district.
Norwalk schools superintendent Shawn Holloway tells KNIA News the pace of activities has made the semester go by quickly, with students and staff involved in everything from athletics to music performances.
“The other night, I was at a girls wrestling event, walked down the hall, was at the Christmas band concert. It is, it’s just hard to believe, you know, we’re almost halfway through the school year.”
Holloway says while large projects and planning items often draw the most attention, day-to-day student performance and participation remain at the center of the district’s work. He says the district will continue focusing on maintaining strong academic outcomes while balancing construction projects and long-term planning as Norwalk’s enrollment continues to grow.
