Local girls wrestlers know who they will face and where they will travel to qualify for the state wrestling tournament.

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has announced the regional meet sites, and the following local teams have been assigned locations:

Pella, Knoxville (Class 2A) – Ottumwa
Indianola (Class 2A) – South Tama
Norwalk (Class 2A) – Glenwood
Newton (Class 2A) – Waverly-Shell Rock
PCM, Pleasantville, Baxter (Class 1A) – Williamsburg
Colfax-Mingo, Martensdale St. Mary’s, Southeast Warren – Colfax-Mingo

The 2026 state qualifying meets will be held on Friday, January 30th at 4 p.m. at all locations.
