New businesses continue to open in the Knoxville community.

On Saturday, a new Domino’s Pizza restaurant opened in Knoxville, which is one of several businesses that have opened or will be soon. A new branch building for Leighton State Bank opened in 2025 along with a new thrift store to support the Marion County Humane Society. On January 8th, a new Kwik Star gas station will open in town along with a new Casey’s later in the year. The city also saw a new suite tower go up next to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame with the Dennis Albaugh Suite Tower. City Manager Heather Ussery says with a continued growth in housing comes these new businesses. 

“As we continue to see growth in housing I think we will continue to see the commercial development side as well. For residents that have been here lifelong they are always seeking to see those new businesses open but I think adding to our population and continuing to increase the housing, we will just continue to see that commercial growth.”
