Pella Historical Museums is preparing to close its exhibits for the annual spring hibernation, starting on New Year’s Day. The final day the buildings for the organization are open for the public is Wednesday, December 31st. The final day for tours at the Scholte House Museum will be today. The Vermeer Windmill and Historical Village, including the gift shop, will remain open through Wednesday, December 31, with shortened hours of 10am-1pm on that day. Following the closure, several activities will return through the annual Windmill Winterim series in January and February in 2026. This coming year, that includes chair caning, Dutch Day Camp: Grown Up’s Edition, Tea and Painting, and a play about Pella and the Civil War.
