The Norwalk girls bowling team is currently 1-2 at the winter break hiatus and is still awaiting its first conference matchup of the season. They most recently defeated Pella Christian by 444 pins. So far this season, Pella Christian is Norwalk’s only win, as they have lost to Bondurant-Farrar and Urbandale, and their first conference matchup against Newton was postponed due to winter weather and will be played on Saturday, January 3rd.

Four Warriors have played six games thus far this season, and they are all freshmen: Baylee Baldwin, Juliana Johnson, Molly Olson, and Laila Wipperman. Baylee Baldwin leads the team in total pins with 815, while Johnson follows with 780. Baldwin also holds the high game of the year for Norwalk, scoring 179 pins, and has the team’s high series with 338 pins against Bondurant-Farrar. Johnson is second in both of those categories as well, with a 167-pin high game and a 334-pin high series.

Norwalk will return to play in the rescheduled matchup against Newton on January 3rd at Air Lanes Bowling Center in Des Moines at 9 a.m. Following that, the Warriors will take on Waukee in Waukee on January 5th, and then return to their home alley against Oskaloosa on January 10th.
