Major changes are coming to the Pella Community Center in 2026. Mayor Don DeWaard says the renovation project for the historic building on Union Street is scheduled to begin after Tulip Time this coming year, with the project going to bid late this winter. DeWaard says the City of Pella also received a Community Attraction and Tourism Grant from Iowa Economic Development Authority for $500,000. The Friends of the Pella Community Center are nearing fundraising goals related to different aspects of the proposed project. Find out to support the effort here.
