The Impact Community Action Partnership will be holding pop-up events for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program throughout Jasper County in the month of January.

The program, known as LIHEAP, can help eligible households stay safe and warm during the winter months, by providing financial assistance for home heating bills and protection from disconnection until April 1st. The first pop-up event will be held on Tuesday at the Newton Salvation Army from 9 am to 3 pm, with appointments available from 9 am to noon, and walk-in applications starting at 1 pm. The second event will be from 9 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, January 13th at Discover Hope in Newton, with appointments also available from 9 am to noon, and walk-in applications starting at 1 pm.

The third pop-up event for the LIHEAP program will be held at the Colfax Public Library from 11 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, January 20th. Appointments in Colfax are available from 11 am to 12:30 pm, before walk-in applications will start at 1 pm. The final event will be held at the Newton Public Library on Tuesday, January 27th from 9 am to 3 pm, with appointments available from 9 am to noon, and walk-in applications starting at 1 pm.
