The Marion County Humane Society continues to try and find new homes for dogs with the adoption fees being sponsored by five-year-old Tucker Bell.
The Humane Society reported this week that they currently have nine dogs left to be adopted that are sponsored by Tucker. Tucker set out with a goal to raise $5,000 to help all the animals at the humane society get adopted before Christmas and he helped raise the money by setting up stands selling ornaments, hot cocoa and cookies and he also received donations as well. Tucker reached his goal of $5,000 and now the shelter continues to hope to see people adopt the animals that are left, some which have been there for long periods of time. The money raised by Tucker will take care of all the adoption costs.
Those interested in seeing the dogs or adopting one can contact the Marion County Humane Society.
