The Pella City Council will discuss a professional services agreement with Garden & Associates for the water main loop project at the Pella Municipal Airport at their meeting tonight.
As part of the agreement, Garden & Associates would provide engineering services for the project, which would include approximately 6,000 feet of water main beginning at Fifield Road. The water main would then extend through the airport and reconnect at either Bos Landen Drive or Idaho Drive to complete the loop, while also providing fire protection for the airport. The Pella Municipal Airport does not have a sufficient water supply for fire protection currently, and the exact alignment and pipe sizing will be determined during the design process. The estimated cost of the project is $80,000, and the project would begin immediately if approved by the city council.
Tonight’s Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 pm in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
