The Indianola Boys Wrestling team took down Pella 60-14 in a home conference dual Thursday night, while the girls finished eighth at the Nevada Dual Tournament.

The boys grabbed wins by fall from Cain Crosson at 113lbs, Hayden Wessell at 126lbs, Elijah Blewitt at 150lbs, Rylan Hilton at 157lbs, Zach O’Meara at 215lbs, and Aiden Curtis at 285lbs. A number of Indian wrestlers one with technical falls as well. Sawyer Nelson at 120 lbs, Stoney Wood at 144 lbs, Mac Crosson at 165 lbs, and Corwin Cambron at 175 lbs, while Chandler Brown at 106 lbs picked up a major decision victory for the team. The Indianola Boys return to the mat in Ames tomorrow at the Mendenhall Invite.

The girls fell in all three duals they competed in. The Indians fell to Woodward-Granger 54-18, West Marshall 60-18, and Winterset 34-24. The next time the Indianola Girls Wrestling team competes will be at the Carlisle Girls Wrestling Duals tomorrow.

The boys swimmers took on Centerville at the Indianola Wellness Campus. First place finishers Alaka’i Moore won the 200 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke, Sawyer Massey won the Individual Medley, Ryan Torrence the 50 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle, and Bodi Wilkins won the 100 Backstroke, while the Indians swept the relays.
