Four PCM varsity athletic teams were in action on Thursday.

The Mustangs boys and girls basketball teams both picked up wins at home over Montezuma in a non-conference doubleheader. The #7 ranked PCM girls won their tenth game in a row after a dominating defensive performance holding the #11 ranked Braves to only 13 points in the first half and ten in the second half as they picked up a 37-23 win. The Mustang girls were led in scoring by Tori Lindsay who had 13 points and Libby Winters who had 10. The PCM girls improve to 11-1 overall.

The boys team was tied with the Braves at the end of the first quarter and went into half on top 31-24. The Mustang boys were able to keep their distance in the second half for a 55-47 win. The Mustang boys were led in scoring by Joe Shaver who had 19 points and Chase Wagaman who had nine. The PCM boys improve to 7-4 on the season. The PCM girls and boys basketball teams will next compete on Tuesday at West Marshall. 

The PCM girls wrestling team competed at a quad hosted by Pleasantville. The Mustangs went 2-1 on the night, defeating Pleasantville 42-30 and Southeast Warren 54-6 and falling to Colfax-Mingo 57-24.  Complete results can be found here. The PCM girls wrestling team will be back in action on Saturday at West Marshall.

The PCM boys wrestling team fell in a road dual to West Marshall 60-15 .The Mustangs lone wins came from a Tucker Wheeler Tech Fall, a pinfall from Mason Hjortshoj, and a major decision from Landon Siedlecki. The Mustang boys will next compete on Saturday at home for the PCM Wrestling Invite.
