Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson provided an update on the future of the Indianola Public Library at his Coffee with the Mayor event earlier this week. Mayor Richardson says the location is the main issue.

“The council is going to have to make a decision, but I think we’re going to end up at the 6th street area. I do believe that trying to make something happen at the current facility still doesn’t solve the problem when we do facility renovations, if that was the location we decide to go to. There’s probably going to have to be a bond issue this Fall and we talked about that a little bit. It was about the fact that I just don’t see any other way it is going to happen if we don’t do that.”
