The Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad was back to full strength but lost to Ankeny Christian 59-54 on Friday, despite Kesley Reed’s 18 points 17 rebound performance. The Saints got down early by as many as 18 points and chipped away to get it down to two with just over a minute remaining in the game. McKenna Lewin and Maddi DeJong, back after two games out due to illness, scored nine points. The boys fell down 27-2 in the 1st quarter and could never recover in an 83-28 loss to the Eagles. Both teams are back at it this afternoon hosting Colo-NESCO.
