Two new Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies were formally appointed by the Jasper County Board of Supervisors this week. Sheriff Brad Shutts says Deputy Benjamin Anderson has 20-plus years of experience in law enforcement and is from the Grinnell area. 

“He’s already making an impact. He’s out on his own working.”

Deputy Andrew Carpenter is from the Baxter area, and spent ten years in the military. He just started his training at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy this week.
