Both Knoxville Boys and Girls Wrestling Squads were in action on Saturday while bowling took on Pella Christian. The Girls wrestlers went to the Allie Morrison Duals in Marshalltown and finished 3rd as a team with a 4-2 overall record. Knoxville defeated Columbus Catholic 54-18, Sioux City East 57-24, BGM 66-12 and West Fork 60-18. The losses were to the host Bobcats 42-39 and to BCLUWSH on criteria. The Panthers forfeited three weight classes to BCLUWSH’s two. Individually for the Panthers Aailyah Swanson, Serenity Turner, and Cally Landis went 6-0 on the day while Laila Pedicini, Isabelle Sinnard, Mariah Ripperger, and Alyssa McCreery all won five times.

Allie Morrison Duals

The boys grapplers placed 15th at the PCM Invitational. Three place winners from the Panthers as Hunter Lund took 6th at 126 pounds, Jessen Ferguson placed 3rd at 138 pounds and Regan Roberts also placed 3rd at 285 pounds. During the day, Roberts won his 100th career match.

The Knoxville Bowling Squads split their matches with Pella Christian on Saturday with the girls defeating the Eagles 1838-1599. For the 2nd straight day, Nicole Schultz had a high series of 289 and a high game of 156. The boys lost 2226-2325. Brian Wiand had a high series of 367 and a high game of 223. Girls wrestling will head to Ballard on Monday, boys have a double dual at Chariton on Thursday and bowling hosts Pella on Saturday.
