
The Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball Squad fell in a sluggish game to Colo-NESCO on Saturday 41-25 while the boys forced overtime against Royals but could not complete the deal in a 55-46 loss. The girls played from behind nearly the entire game and committed 32 turnovers. Kesley Reed was the only Saint in double figures with ten points. Neither team in the boys game held a lead by more than seven in the back and forth affair. The Saints started the 4th quarter with a 7-0 run but the Royals responded with an 11-2 run to retake the lead. Colo-NESCO outscored the Saints 11-2 in the extra session. Reece Chiabotta led a balanced Saints attack with 12 points while Colton Cox and Evan Schrader scored ten, each. Both Saints squads will get back on the court against Seymour on Tuesday. The Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas Boys Wrestling Squad placed 5th at PCM on Saturday. Melcher-Dallas place winners were Hudson Cox in first place at 106 pounds, Kyler Reschley in seventh at 132 pounds and Trace Mann in eighth at 138 pounds.
